Methods for detecting local adaptation

Tom is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia who studies population genetics and evolutionary biology. Tom’s work with CoAdapTree, supervised by Mike Whitlock and Sam Yeaman, focuses on the methods that are used to measure local adaptation and to quantify convergent evolution. In particular, Tom is interested in the statistics used to detect adaptation. Before joining the CoAdapTree project in September 2018, Tom completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh studying molecular evolution in wild mice.
